It's a very nice place.
Only visiting our friends on site, so only a 4 hour visit.
Seems very fishing orientated, but that could be wrong, the lake on the site had a good few fishermen on it, and it seemed that a lot where there for that....
The toilets were very clean and well presented.
If we still had our camper I'd like to have stayed there...

We were due to arrive here on the 4/10 around lunchtime. But after an extremely stressful day we called to explain we’d had some issues and they left our key card and pitch number in the safe by reception and gave us the code. Nothing was too much trouble. We were leaving the next day as we were going to Yorkshire. We liked this site we booked to come back on the 18/10 as it’s 2 and 1/2 hours closer to home. |However having been in Yorkshire for 8 days I asked my husband if we could call the site to see if we could come back on the Wednesday. They were so helpful and accommodating. |We arrived there around lunch time on Wednesday 16/10 leaving on the Saturday 19/10. |The site is lovely the pitches are a lovely size. There is so many water birds and the lake is stunning especially if a night time as it’s all lit up. |It’s a lovely secure site and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. |There is a bar onsite that opens Friday and Saturday this is a lovely clean marquee bar. But it’s heated and has a log burner so was toastie. |There is a pizza place open the same days. But that’s the only food there. |But it is a very well run little unit. |If I had to say any negatives it would be that there are no full service pitches which I do prefer. But I’d still go back here regardless. I honestly don’t usually like a place without a swimming pool but this is a very special place. I was so relaxed and I can’t remember sleeping as well as I did here for the last 5 years. If it let me I’d rate this site higher than the 5, it lets you rate it out of. As co this is a 5. Amazing Thankyou for looking after us.

Had a 2 nights stay at this lovely place. From arriving the receptionist was so welcoming and helpful. Nice wide plot to pitch up on. Lovely clean site. Nice walk for our dog. Had a drink at the bar and had a lovely pizza made by daniella. Will highly recommend and we will definitely come back

What can I say… it is just a pleasure to come to this site. Lisa greets everyone so warmly and is a little diamond. John the owner and all his staff are fabulous and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The site has excellent facilities including shop for your forgotten essentials and the wagtail bar with entertainment and great place to spend time with old and new friends. They also offer a food truck when you don’t fancy cooking offering lovely pizzas. I don’t fish, but they have a great fishing lake which seems popular to those that do. Great toilet and shower facilities and some lovely dog walks around if you bring your 4 legged friends. A great place to relax, enjoy and have some fine. Great park.

What an absolute gem of a place. Stayed for 2 nights. So peaceful, toilet and shower facilities spotless. Staff really friendly. Lovely lake for fishing. Well lit at night. Will definitely be coming again

Second time here and the standard was just as high, had a wild west country night booked. Was a good and happy environment. The owners are very pleasant. The Caravan pitch has lots of room, toilets and showers are cleaned every day . Pet friendly and nice local walks . Will visit again when in the area.

This is our first time here at Wagtail Country Park & it’s been a great weekend. Pizza van Friday & Saturday. Wagtail bar on site, Live music on Saturday. Lovely to walk around the dog walk. Off site walks are either short to long walks, brochure to help from a fabulous friendly team at Wagtail. Large clean pitches, site facilities are great, kept clean & tidy. Fishing lake to sit by & while away the hours. I’m certainly coming back here again. Keep up the good work that you do Wagtail team.
