We decided to do a spontaneous camping trip and didn't want to go to far, we called a reserved a spot and mentioned we had kids so the manager put us right next to the playground and a short walk to the lake and bathrooms. We had some trouble with our tent and I believe it was the manager and her husband helped us get set up. Bathrooms were clean and the campground was very nice! Glad to have electricity at the site also! Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Very nice little spot. They let you drive the park and pick your site. Beautiful sunrises in the am. We saw two large groups of deer, each one had 7 or 8 deer. They wandered all afternoon and morning through the grounds, they seem to be fairly comfortable around people - they got very close to us, but kept their distance. Amazing to watch them so up close. Very quiet at night.
The bathrooms could be a little better kept, but they also have signs all over saying it may not be kept open after Oct 31st. So they may have limited staff after the summer. All in all a very nice little retreat for the night. Close to lots of nice little independent restaurants.

Very affordable rates which is good as there is no option to reserve campsites in the future. They only accept same-day reservations so if you want to reserve a weekend, you will more than likely have to reserve Wednesday and Thursday as well. The water spigots are few and some are quite far from your site so make sure to do your research before reserving or you should fill your fresh water tanks before leaving

A great place to camp with an RV. Back in and pull through spots. Electric hookup at each spot (20,30&50amp at our spot) but no water or sewer at the spots. There is a dump station near the entrance and water spigots are scattered around the park ( bring a REALLY long water hose if you plan on being hooked up to water) we just pulled up and refilled our tank when needed.
Some spots are connected to the lake ( your own private beach at #426) all spots have a cement picnic table, grill and smaller cement "prep table".
Call ahead to reserve a spot or scout your ideal one upon arrival and reserve it at the welcome board. Camp host on site. We did have a vagrant try to camp in the woods near our spot but the camp host delt with the situation in a timely and professional manner. There also seems to be a disconnect regarding who is responsible for picking up the trash that can be seen around the park ( a shame, this place would be outstanding with a little more care) Still worth a visit! The price is $30/day.

Small state park/campground on Lake Arcadia north of Oklahoma city. The campground itself was pretty. There were no sewer hookups, but a dump site was available. Water is only available at every 3rd or 4th site, so bring at least 100 feet of hose if you want to be hooked up. Most spots were very shaded. Didn't use the restrooms, so I have no idea about them. There was a fair amount of garbage strewn about... We cleaned up our sight. The worst part was by far the reservation system. The city of Edmond owns the park. I looked forever trying to find an online reservation system, nope. Had to wait for business hours, and even then, the phone went unanswered many times on numerous days. When I did get someone on the line, they denied responsibility for reservations and passed me off to another number. Called it and was referred back to the original number. Then, when someone finally decided to take my reservation, they had no idea what the site would accommodate. The site I was originally assigned had a slope to steep for my motorhome. There were only 2 other sites to choose from. One was soped like the original, and the other was barely long enough. But the price was good, $25 per night and the lake is beautiful!

Trash everywhere! !
Reservations are by phone call only. Be prepared to hold.
As mentioned, takes a looong water hose.
Shower is clean but old and underwhelming.
Water access is limited, keep going on to the Central State Park for good facilities.

The deer are sickly looking with ticks all over there ears the ticks were bad of an evening just sitting out side we were picking them off of us. All the other stuff was decent but the wild life presence looks to be slowy decreasing.
