This “park” is surrounded by a water treatment facility and a mining site. Construction pipes everywhere. Tough walk down a rocky hillside covered in spiders to get to the “beach” which is big enough for 4 people. Definitely not a return spot for us!

I visited first time this August 13, 2022, I really enjoyed in this beautiful natural environment. We visited on Saturday evening before the sunset and we didn’t see any attendant before entering the park. The sign before entering was showing lot of information and we added images for all signs which can help to new visitors.

This park on Lake Travis with primitive campsites & picnic areas offers swimming, fishing & more.

Please do visit here have lot of fun activities.

Very diverse & very scenic! A little more peacefully quiet, depending on what day it is, more relaxing for everyone, as well as all of the ducks, birds, dogs, deer, & other animals in the area disturbed by loud motor boat & boom box noise, which also makes children cranky. Less motorboats on the lake in this area on slow days, water nice & calm for swimming, great beach-like area. Particularly clear & pretty water here, on slow days, when motor vehicles are not decreasing water clarity. A long, curvy drive, with hilly inclines, but worth it!

Nice campground. 15/night.
Right on Lake Travis which is a renowned bass lake though I had no luck... I'm sure it was due to my lack of familiarity with the water there.
Portable restrooms and vault restrooms. No hookups or water (shut off for season).
3 bars of Verizon.
Close to Austin.
Would stay here again.

When first arriving we were greeted by the most wonderful, helpful, and cheery older women. We had the best time and the best camping spot. The Port-a potties were the cleanest as they are constantly cleaning and patrolling. The view is great and the staff was amazing. We are definitely coming back every year!

Not good for swimming access. Very rocky and 10$ day fee. Parking? Meh. pretty view once you get down there. Good for hiking and probably for fishing. Lime creek road was an interesting drive that had a great view at one point. Lots of bikers on that road, scares me because there isn't a lot of room for bicycles and vehicles on that road. Thought maybe there would be more sand than rocks because it's in the name. Not really. But like I said good for hiking and sitting in the sun. Maybe for camping too. Had to hike a bit to get to the water (climb down rocky steps) but the lady at the front was polite and even gave us a map of the park so we could find our way.

A well maintained site, easy access and boat launching possible.
Bbq areas, remember to bring some charcoal!
There are toilet blocks, you may want to bring your own toilet paper if you need a number 2.
Staff friendly. The entry booth for some reason is not on the drivers side on the way in.
The drive is very scenic on the way in, watch your speed on the bends as some are tighter than you may think!

We were pleasantly surprised by this park and all it had to offer. The campsites are pretty basic, but they are spread out and well protected from the wind. Pleanty of trees to hang hammocks from. Also, their free -standing grills were pretty nice for a campsite like this. $15 / vehicle and they take cash/check only.
