A beautiful park and marina on the Tennessee River. There are lots of open pace riverside for picnicking and activities. A good spot for fishing, too. The park is kept clean and safe. There are a few shelters that can be reserved for events.

My first visit to Florence Alabama. I love taking night photos, and the hotel staff recommended two places, McFarland Park and the Dam. McFarland Park has a privately owned area and public areas. It is located on the banks of the Tennessee River and this is a boat ramp, harbor and lovely floating restaurant. There is plenty of lit parking at night and room to roam and play. The park is very clean, nice place for a picnic.

First time here! Was here for a school fishing tournament. They had different boat ramps which made it much easier for getting out of the water. The bathrooms was clean!

I love this park. There are so many different things here for everyone. There is a beach, picnic tables, a paved walking path, pavilions for parties, there is primitive and rv camping, they have a lighthouse, porch type swings and benches, a marina with open and covered boat slips for boats of all sizes, there is a playground for kids, they have a nice restaurant on the water in the center of the marina and even fuel for boats and so much more...

McFarland Park is an absolute beautiful escape, no matter what time of year you visit. Nestled right on the scenic Tennessee River, it offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and Alabama’s rich culture. The park is well-maintained, with plenty of spots to relax, enjoy nature, or take in the peaceful river views.

The highlight of my visit was the visitor's center, where the woman working there was incredibly insightful and helpful. She provided excellent tips and shared fascinating stories about the area’s history and its deep-rooted traditions. It added so much to the overall experience.

McFarland Park is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the beauty and history of Alabama. Whether you’re there for a walk, a picnic, or just to soak in the views, you’ll leave feeling connected to the rich heritage and natural wonders this state has to offer!

We attended the ? fragon boat races and had a wonderful time ⏲️. Our granddaughter participated in the races and was having a great time! We love ❤️ MacFarlane park ? ❤️ the crowd was.very nice and friendly and the vendors.were great too! ? Everyone had a great ? time. We will be back next year. Money raised is used.for scholarships and that is a good ? thing! Nuff said..

Beautiful park.
I've been going here since I was a child. It holds lots of special memories.
My husband and I like to have little picnic dates here. It's so peaceful sitting by the water and watching the scenery.

McFarland Park is beautiful! It's right on the Tennessee River across from gorgeous bluffs. At $25/night or $20/night for seniors (oh yeah), full hook ups and both pull through and back in sites, what's not to love. I believe it's a cash only park and it's first come first served, no reservations. The staff are super accommodating! I highly recommend, and if we weren't heading to FL, I'd like to stay much longer!
