Lovely site with stunning views
Heard a lot of shouting from the house behind us, but that's claimed down now. I thought it was a 5 van cl site with caravan and camping at the moment. There are 11 vans on site, but only 4 occupied and 1 tent

It is set in a beautiful location, but......
Rena, I presume the owner is just awful. She told us we weren't booked in, I showed her the 2 emails I received from her confirming our stay and she totally denied it. She then asked if we were Camping and Caravan Club Members, we said no and again she said we couldn't stay. I asked why she didn't ask when we booked it, she said she presumed that we were. Honestly i have never met a more difficult woman.
She said she was full and we couldn't stay, then changed her mind and said that someone has cancelled so we can stay one night. There are 16 unused EHUs so clearly not fully booked.
The toilets and shower are disgusting and she has the cheek to charge for hot water on top of the pitch fee.
She explained that dogs had to be kept on a lead which I totally understand in lambing season, however not a single sheep or lamb in sight and other people had their dogs off leads.
We told her we had a secured dog enclosure, she said that the Camping and Caravan club didn't allow them so we couldn't use.
Do not stay here at all costs... in fact I won't ever stay at a Camping and Caravan Club site ever again.

The place itself is very nice. But the showers and toilets are not acceptable. They are disgusting. 20p for 2 minutes in a dirty shower and its not even hot. Misleading stock photos on Google . Not sure if the owner himself posted them. See photos

Small quiet site good as stopover. All facilities good, although basic, what would u expect for such a great price! Owner is lovely and very helpful, will go the extra mile. ?

Would give 10 stars if I could, this Campsite is beautiful ❤️ very peaceful and Rena was a amazing host, really helped us out !

I always regarded this part of Scotland to be rather forbidding and empty until I discovered this absolute gem of a campsite. Facilities are homely and clean , the location is beautiful and there is a wonderful riverside walk . Above all the owners are friendly and easy going . I'll definitely stop off there again . Please note that this is a Caravan and Camping Club rally site so I advise ringing first . Lovely.

Rena was very accommodating when we were late. When I called to let her know she helped us with information on where to get food etc.
ideal stopover and very, very reasonable cost!

Beautiful views lovely owner but bring cards and books. The facilities are better and cleaner than I expected for the price
