An absolutely perfect apartment that is too good to be true?!

Having visited Lake Como especially around the middle of the lake many times, I was looking for an apartment for myself, my wife and our two children to visit once more. I was originally sceptical that Lake Villa Zen was TOO good to be true, the amenities offered for the price quoted seemed unreal, and (at the time) with little internet presence i was sceptical due to the many accommodation scams online nowadays.

However i dug deep online and spoke with La Breva, the travel company who manage the apartment, based in Germany. Whilst their website and processes could be modernised slightly, their contact was very informative and alleviated any doubts i may have had about Lago Villa Zen.

Several days before arriving, Debora the property manager reached out via WhatsApp and was very informative. Deborah kept in contact throughout the day of arrival, and met us at the property as soon as we arrived, showing us around and offering any information and services we may require. In all honesty, Deborah was one of the nicest hosts i have ever met in 25+ years of holiday accommodation.

The apartment itself is newly renovated in a modern style & has everything we could have possibly asked for. it's location is perfect being right at the entrance to Lenno, you can walk to the lake shore in 1 minute, to Lenno boat ferry port in 2 minutes. With private, secured parking underneath the building with easy access from the main road, you never need to worry about finding a parking space. The living area and both bedrooms open out onto a lovely raised east facing private garden which captures the morning sunrise over the mountains perfectly.

With two good sized bedrooms & bathrooms, modern separate washer & dryers, a slick modern kitchen with all appliances you'd need, a large flatscreen wall mounted TV with all streaming services & high speed WiFi internet.

Within 5 minutes walk you can get to several pasticceria offering some amazing morning coffee & fresh pastries, a dozen or so restaurants for lunch & dinner options ranging between high end and classic Italian family, of which there is a fantastic option just seconds from the apartment. There are two local supermarkets within 10 minutes walk, multiple pharmacies & banks. The local recycling bins are 30 seconds walk away.

There really is everything you could possibly need within a very short walk from the apartment, the passenger ferry from Lenno has regular services to all of the towns on Lake Como and rapid services to the further destinations like Como & Colico. We only used our car to get to & from the apartment from Malpensa airport and a day trip into Switzerland.

I cannot fault a single thing, I expect Lago Villa Zen will be our regular accommodation when visiting Lake Como for the foreseeable future.
