Cortesia e simpatia nell'accoglienza, stanza, piccola , ma, molto carina e pulita, con una bella vista sul lago, prezzo ? 145 per la notte del 31 dic , forse un pochino alto, ma ci sta, Menaggio, lago di Como, uno dei posti piu belli al mondo, insomma , in linea con i prezzi della zona . Hotel molto carino. Caratteristico

Nice clean room but slightly noisy at times due to being in the square - also bar round the corner played quite loud music but finished at reasonable time.|Breakfasts were continental style which after seven days became a bit monotonous with the same thing every morning. Would have been good to have a choice of menu.|Would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities in room - taking your own travel kettle is a good idea.|Good value for money and very friendly host and staff.

If you are driving, it's difficult to find a spot to park to check in. You might have to follow the signs to public parking away from the lake and walk there. Eventually you find it and the reception desk, which is basically in the bar area of the restaurant, but on the opposite side from the main plaza. Parking is well worth it, and pretty close (maybe 50 meters' walk); the garage is indoor and secured, and was empty except for our car in late June.||We had a family room with two separate bedrooms, both good sized, a large king in the master and separate twin beds for our kids. I slept well in the King but my wife did not, the bed had a bit of a dip in the middle. One window in the kid's room had a nice view of the piazza and lake, the other windows looked out on the street, also nice. The bathroom was large and had a nice big shower. No breakfast and it's not cheap at the hotel restaurant but there is a Conad grocery store at Via Marconi 3. The room has a mini fridge. Air conditioning works well though we didn't need it most of the time. Wifi was not very fast but was adequate. The rooms are nicely decorated.||We felt the service was good and the price for the room was good value (especially coming from Switzerland). It's not easy to find family rooms in this area, it seems. The location is great, very easy to get around town to restaurants and to the ferry dock. We enjoyed our time here and would love to return some day. Menaggio seems a fair bit less touristy than Varenna and Bellagio and there is good hiking in the area.

Three families of 4 from Melbourne Australia stayed here for 3 nights during late July 2013. The earlier reviews had cast some doubt but I think a lot has changed since they were written. All 3 rooms were stunning although they did differ in size. Each had air con and a beautiful bathroom. Location was great. Our room overlooked the town square below with great views of the lake and craft market just below. Everything was close by including great restaurants, the lakefront, public pool and ATM. The best gelato shop was a stone throw away!!! 3 floors in total with what seemed a new lift which made things quite easy. The only downside was that it was a touch too pricey. This is a great hotel. It is located right in the square across from the lake. The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious. Although they don’t advertise it, they have a small indoor parking garage and only charge 12 euros per night. It is difficult to get parking in town, so this came in handy. Great value and fantastic location.

Excellent rooms on the second floor of the annexe to the Hotel du Lac. Our balconies looked out over the stunning view of Lake Como. Our bed was very comfortable with crisp white cotton bedlinen and the ensuite facilities were excellent. Our linen and towels were changed regularly. Staff were very friendly. The wifi worked perfectly. Any queries we had were sorted. Breakfast was not included in the room price (which we knew in advance) but apart from that minor detail, our stay was perfect.
