Amazing new owner! Glad to see it re open and under new better management. Friendly, helpful and considerate! Seen we were walking down to the lake with our kayak from his house got on his quad and opened the gate for us. Supplied us with rubbish bags. Asked if their was anything we needed. Can definitely see a turn around in the future for this place to be the best in ullswater with some minor updating. New park, paved route into the field with borded out pitches supplied with picnic tables and maybe a new toilet,facility block. All in all tho a great friendly relaxed place to camp!

Easy going campsite, recently taken over by their son. He was super lovely. Only reopened around 2 weeks ago, stunning walk to pooley bridge along the lake. Definitely worth the stay! We will be back:)

We stayed here for a night as we relocated from another campsite..

I messaged on Facebook and the owner was very helpful and let us check the campsite out first (after our bad experience) the view was lovely and the campsite was calm! Perfect location with a direct access to the lake with a car parking area!!

Few upgrades needed but it’s states basic campsite… still had hot water and toilets with shower facilities.. the price is great for what you get!!!

Will definitely be returning!

Fab Campsite, New owner, made to feel really welcome. Access to the lake available through a field at the bottom, our kids have a fab weekend playing on lake! Lots of places to visit a short drive away

absolutely brilliant place , the toilets and showers are spotless 10min walk into pooley bridge has direct access to the lake for launching boats or just swimming and fishing ,dunroamin at cross dormont is our new ulswater home

Very nice view, but toilets were very bad because of the damages in the water pipes the floor was very wet and the heaters are not working as well, they charges for the shower £0.50 for 1 minutes. Once your balance going 0 water & electricity will be automatically off and you have to go out and recharging again, if you put more than you need you will not refund anything.
For the tents area no electricity at all, if you are staying for more than day you will need a super power bank to charge you phone, for all tents only one water faucet and no hot water at all

To access the lake you have to cross the road carrying your items add on that the staff are very rude.

Nightmare ?||Very rude owner, he tried to change me twice for a one week stay. I went there with two children, I have paid him on a first day for whole week (cash only) He gives me a note with campsite rules and a sticker for my tent. Facilities there are very poor. On a last day he approached me and my kids (he was drunk) accused me for not paying. He threaten me with the police. My children were crying, there were very scared. I asked other man there if he gets a receipt, he said no, just a sticker for a tent. I showed the owner my sticker as a proof I have paid, he still was yelling at me and he left. Horrible experience. I can't stop thinking about it.
