Absolutely blown away with our experience at camp Kettlewood for our wedding this last September. Not only were the grounds beautiful, the cabins and rooms cozy, but every step of our process was wonderful. Can’t tell you how many people said it was the best and coolest wedding they have ever been to- so if you’re looking for a place to be unique and blow them away- this is it! We plan on coming back every year for our anniversary. Thanks Kettlewood for making our day seriously the most perfect day!

Recently, I had the privilege of staying at the Deer Run cabin over the weekend. My experience was highly satisfactory. The cabin was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including essential kitchenware and a fire starter kit. I eagerly anticipate my next vacation and envision the picturesque beauty of the changing foliage if the camping season were extended. It would be a delight to witness such a spectacle.

Camp Kettlewood was even better than the photos online! About an hour from the Chicago area so was perfect for a weekend trip with my young kids and our friends!
We stayed at the Hilton campsite and was perfect for our party of 8! Pretty much everything you need for camping was provided (besides food, towels and bug spray). Highly recommend if you need to get away to nature and unplug!
Look forward to renting a cabin or the airstream next time!

Our time at Camp Kettlewood was so incredible. It far surpassed our expectations! We stayed in the Sunview Antique Cabin, fully equipped with the MOST comfortable bed, mini fridge, AC, fire pit, gas grill, exceptional cookware, silverware, and clean pots and pans. Not to mention the things that show that Camp Kettlewood goes above and beyond… specially the golf carts, the dry wood that is included with the stay, and the cleanliness of the shower & bathroom areas. (The outdoor shower was one of the most wonderful experiences.) Overall, if you can’t tell, this was an exceptional trip for us. We will absolutely be back! The only thing we can suggest to those that are headed there, bring bug spray, you will need it! Thank you SO much for a great getaway!

Had an amazing time here. Weather was so nice I slept in the hammock the first night. The cabins I stayed in were really nice and had lots of cool antique Boy Scout decorations. The outdoor shower is my new lifestyle and I won’t settle for anything less, it’s amazing. Lots of things to do inside and outside the camp. 10/10

Also Jeremy and his wife and super nice. Soon as you meet them you feel like family.

Nicely laid out to make campsites feel private with woods separating sites. You get your very own golf cart to cruise around and get back to your site. Running water and firewood right at your site. Modern bathrooms with running water sinks/toilets/and showers. Very clean as well. Highly recommend!

My family of 4 loved our stay in Deer Run at Camp Kettlewood. The fun started as we parked the car and loaded up the gear in a golf cart. Approaching the cabin, we saw the hammock, fire pit, string lights, and of course the pond. We were all grinning from ear to ear it was so cute! The bed was super comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a cold mini fridge and coffee pot in the cabin as well. Jeremy was nice enough to set up a cot for one of our kiddos to sleep on. It really wasn't a far walk to the flushing toilets at the top of the hill, but there was a very clean port o pot and hand washing station close by too. The outdoor shower was a highlight for me! Both showers I used had great pressure, and had hot and cold controls so you can adjust to the temperature you like. The soap, shampoo and conditioner was all provided. Jeremy and Simona really have thought of everything you might need. They provided a jug for water, lighters, a flashlight, a gas grill and utensils, garbage and recycling bins, a tub for dirty dishes, coffee and sugar, firewood, and handy sap soaked fire starter- we had a pretty rainy Saturday and had NO issues starting a fire with those! On my way to the restroom I saw a deer on a nearby trail, and many cranes, birds, chipmunks and a turtle! For me, a camper, Camp Kettlewood was truly a luxurious and relaxing “glamping” experience. We will be back for sure!

A group of six of us stayed at Camp Kettlewood in early August on the Mushroom Gulch site. We had a great time. They thought of everything - we all brought way more stuff than we needed. All you really need is food & drinks, clothes and bug spray. We'll definitely be back next year, most likely with a larger group on a bigger site.
