Nice place, totally nude or clothing optional.
The water was surprisingly warm. Lots of friendly people to chat with. The area is rough to navigate in flip flops, so bring shoes. Cost was $8 per person. Cash only tho. Great for a no tan line day. Go get cha some.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful. I didn't realize how big the lake was until I got there. The path to get down to the water is A little steep and rocky, So be prepared to have a mild rock climbing excursion. I would recommend wearing tennis shoes or swim shoes or sandals that strap around your ankle so that way they're stability for going up and down the rock face since it is on a hill. Hippie hollow was the most peaceful place out visited since I've lived in Texas, And I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this park.

Great park with access to lake Travis. 8$ per person isn't bad at all and it allowed you to re enter and as well as entry to other Travis county parks. Yes it is clothing optional so keep that in mind. Gets deep pretty quickly but I still managed to find a spot near stairs 1 that was shallow enough for me to hang around all day.

I visit this place often and love it. This place will bring you peace and teach you to love yourself as you are. All shapes and sizes are welcomed. Please don’t come here expecting to not be looked at. People are going to look no matter what. Yes, there are creeps out there so just be vigilant. You’ll see them at the top sitting there clothed and people watching. I had one man ask to take a picture with me while I was walking to bathroom. I told him no and kept my eye on him. Other than that enjoy yourself. People are very friendly and I’ve met some really nice people that we’ve become regulars and friends. Just because two people are close and hugged up doesn’t mean they’re getting it on. Scene is beautiful and water temperature varies daily. Oh yeah you’re in water and there are going to be fish. I’ve seen catfish and bass. Had one bite me on the back and arm several times.

went on 9/20/24 $8 parking/entry fee($3 for 62 and older)Almost 1/2 mile of beach and swimming area, which is marked with buoys. There is a wide walkway from one end to the other with many good views of the lake and area. Walkway is handicap accessible (almost a 1/2 mile long) with stairs going partially down to the water every 75ft or so. Area is heavily wooded. The critical mass of visitors was in area 1, the main entrance down to the beach and walkway. Two clean bathrooms , one on each end of the walkway and have a faucet with a 3' hose attached to rinse feet off. Port-a-potties(2handicap accessible) are in the parking lot. Not crowded on the Friday afternoon I was there. Busier on Saturdays and Sundays.
Park has a long tradition as the only clothing-optional public park in TX. This heavily-used park is popular for sunbathing and swimming. With-in 10-12' of shore water is over your head, but in some areas as little as 5' out from shore. Could see about 3 1/2feet deep through the water. Lake gets over 100feet deep in parts. Good fishing lake with nice sized bluegill, bass, and even some very huge catfish. 30-minute drive from downtown Austin. A great place to visit. Wear water shoes(with some grip) for getting down to the lake. It can be steep in some areas.
Open 9am-dusk, daily 365 days/year No Showers.

If going to a ( an optional )nudist beach / waterfront is on your bucket list. Hippy hallow is the place to go. The hike to the lake & back to the car is steep. Be sure to bring your water shoes, plenty of water to stay hydrated, an umbrella, chair and towel. Clothes are required while in the parking lot headed down toward the lake but one you see the beautiful view your free to be free.
