We first stayed at this KOA location a few months ago and couldn’t wait to come back. Everything is so clean and well kept and every single employee is exceptionally friendly.

But the best part of all without a doubt is the activity coordinator, Alyssa. Honestly she was made for this. She’s always so happy and kind, but she’s also hilarious and so much fun. Now that we’ve been back several times she always remembers my whole family by name and goes out of her way to ask us how we are. All of the activities are wonderful but Alyssa would make even a boring activity seem fun.

Highly recommend this KOA and all of the family activities/events they offer!

Stayed 5 nights in our camper at this KOA. By far the cleanest campground we have ever stayed at! The bathrooms and showers were all well kept and maintained! The overall campgrounds were well lit, well maintained and very clean! The staff is super friendly and helped us extend our stay with no trouble at all! We felt very safe staying there as the gates close at 8pm sharp and there is always someone at the gate shack during the day. The campground is located close to downtown without being IN downtown. All the sights and attractions are within a 15 minute drive even if you take the small roads and avoid the highways. We will definitely stay here again! My only drawback is that we wish the cafe had more options for food besides pizza and wings, but it’s not worth taking away a star. We still had a BLAST! Thank you Alamo KOA staff!

Conveniently located for easy travel throughout San Antonio. Friendly staff and everything was so clean. Love all the amenities! Loved having the pool as an option. Nice community building with games. I appreciate the cafe, but would be nice if it were open for lunch as well. Removing a star because I was surprised the little store didn't have basic food items like bread, wieners, eggs, etc. which made is necessary for us to pack up our camper to drive to the grocery store to buy lunch items. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I'd recommend it to anyone traveling solo or with family.

This location is prefect just a couple miles outside the downtown area. This location is keep immaculate. They clean the bathroom several times a day they picked the trash up. Everyone is so nice. In the afternoons they have a little train ride for the kids a nice playground. They also have café you can get breakfast or dinner which is just pizza and wings but how convenient with a 24 hour laundromat and then you can even rent out the TV room. They have bike rentals along with the lake for catch and release, right next to the campground is great trail that’s 8 1/2 miles.

Can’t wait to come back next year.

Lovely site. I was apprehensive about the many trees on the site, seeing we have a large rig, but the extra shade made the experience amazing. Everyone was super friendly.
The city has an amazing trail that runs behind the site, we rode our bikes on it and had a fabulous time. An amazing golf course is close by.

The park is quite nice and they obviously spend a great deal of time and attention in maintaining it. I initially had a large site with an enclosed patio - but then had to extend my stay and moved to the rear of the property which I really loved more. It was quiet, green and my pets really enjoyed it - it was also much cooler under the trees. The office staff for the most part were genuinely nice, caring and efficient...with one exception. A heavy-set girl who quite frankly acted like she would rather be anywhere else other than behind the front desk. She wasn't helpful - or unhelpful. She just sort of oozed a bad attitude.||The only two things I will say beyond that is that although they have a nice laundry area and have a change machine - they do not allow you to place a token $5.00 or $10.00 on your credit card so that you can actually USE the change machine. IOW, come with your own cash. There is no ATM, and no way to get cash to use at the laundry without going through the hassle of driving off-site. This just seems like a weird oversight since they are so good about so many other things...but it was really frustrating not being able to use the laundry because there is no way of pulling cash from a card or ATM.||The second issue revolves around the showers in the back of the property. Even after 15 minutes of running the water - the temperature was only tepid - at best. That was very disappointing - and I can't imagine that wasting water trying to get the temp to a comfortable shower level is a wise move in drought-stricken San Antonio.||I would definitely stay here again - but - I would prepare differently - and also temper my expectations.

We love this place! Very clean, good time for the family, close to everything downtown, with trail access for long runs and bike rides. We love the activities that are planned! Shout out to Alyssa for making this place great again! Give her a raise !

This KOA was amazing! Upon arrival I was greeted at my truck and guided to my site. We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. Sites were well spaced and maintained with easy leveling. Pool was clean with an easy entrance which was great for Elderly or Disabled or just folks with toddlers. Everyday there was tons of activities like and cream social and salsa and margaritas bar by the pool, site decoration contests just to name a few. Daily texts with updates it truly was a personal touch. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!
