Danila has been more than an excellent tour guide, with deep knowledge of all aspects of the tour she led with us. She is super friendly and an overall great person to be around as well! Incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to discuss and answer questions. She has clearly been involved in so much around the Monte Cassino history today, from different angles. Danila is an excellent guide tour, with deep knowledge of the controversial aspects of the battle of Monte Casino. She did a superb job explaining each of the steps of the battle, took us to an amazing tour of the monastery, the memorials, cemeteries and a spectacular restaurant and demonstrated a detailed understanding of the complexity of the battle. But more importantly, she is a friendly, amicable and respectful person on which I shared the confidence to raise any question and of course I obtained and honest, candid and accurate response. Highly recommend her!!

Hello! Highly recommend a WWII Italy battlefield tour with Danila. We took the train down from Rome to visit Anzio (museum, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and the Anzio beach). She is very knowledgeable, flexible with your interests, kind and easy to work with. She also has great relationships with the museum and the cemetery that really make for a wonderful visit. We stopped for a great lunch and the van was comfortable and reliably driven by her colleague Gianni. This time with Danila was a highlight of our Rome visit. Thank you Danila and Gianni!

My husband and I contacted Danila in regard to retracing his dads footsteps in WW2 during the battle of Anzio. Our trio pretty much coincided with the 75th Anniversary of Monte Cassino so we also joined that tour for 6 days following a private day tour of Anzio. It was a fabulous trip, we learnt so much from her and the other clients on that trip and shared lots of stories and even keep in touch with Danila and other members of the tour group from all over the world. We spent 7 days in total with Danila on this tour plus one day in Roma sightseeing the Vatican and Colosseum which was amazing.
Danila was extremely helpful as we communicated with her lots of times prior to arriving from Australia to Italy and she was a great help in securing us tickets for museums and trains. Danila’s knowledge and experience of the Battlefields and local people she knows who can tell us their stories as children bring a tear and is very emotional. What happened back then should never be forgotten and going to visit the grounds, battlefields, monastery, ceremonies and cemeteries with Danila as the guide was something never to be forgotten either. She did an amazing job as many people was over for the 75th Anniversary in May 2019 and at times flexibility was the order of the day but Danila made it happen. If you plan to visit this area, to find the true story of your loved one, to be taken to some amazing food places along the way and eat like Kings/Queens, this is the person for you 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend

My son and I were fortunate to book a tour with Danila, our goal being to discover more about my father's experience in Cassino as part of the 100th Battalion.t. We were aware of the heroism of the 100th, consisting mainly of Japanese Americans, but she made it all come alive. One of the highlights was seeing the stained glass window at the Abbey which was donated by the 100th Battalion to aid reconstruction of the magnificent structure. Stops at the War Cemetery, Rapido River, and Sherman tank still standing in the middle of town, as well as sharing a delicious meal with Danila and her driver Gianni, made for memories I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

Danila arranged our tour to Monte Casino where we visited the Abbey which was amazing, followed by a tour of the war grave cemetery which gave us the opportunity to pay our respects to my Wife’s uncle, Sarjeant Arthur Albert Jones ( whom she has never met) He served in the Royal Fusiliers and was killed on the 24th May 1944 aged 24.
Danila kindly provided us with a beautiful flower arrangement, which we were able to place upon the grave.
Danila showed the utmost respect and kindness throughout the day. Her knowledge of history is second to none.An amazing lady and a thoroughly likeable person. It was a pleasure meeting her.

The tour was a gift to my teenager son, who is keen on military history. Beforehand Danila was easy to communicate with, made good suggestions, adapted the plan, and made a personal gift card with the program. During the tour everything was perfect: in-depth knowledge, good discussions, and adjustment of the plans on the go when needed. Good restaurant choices for lunch. Also happy with safe and stable driving, which is not a given in Italy.
