Lovely, well-organised, independent site in the Shropshire hills! Shown onto pitch by the amazing owners, given pitches together with our friends and encouraged to face doors to each other and out up our canopies. EHU on each pitch, water points throughout site. Facilities are simple but clean and good, best showers this trip! Pay on arrival, no deposit, open from beginning of April to end of September. Two food pubs in easy walking distance. Bus service into Church Stretton although the walk along part of Long Mynd into Church Stretton is good too!

Great campsite in a truly wonderful location, I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

The water pressure in the toilet and shower block was just right - neither too high nor too low. I have been to campsites with water pressure that was too high before and it can be an issue, as can water pressure that is too low!

This campsite had water pressure that was just like the little bears porridge.

Just right.

We booked this campsite via email at short notice and received a prompt reply. I’m so glad we found it. It is one of the prettiest we have been to. The hosts are as charming as the location. On this occasion we could only stay for one night but we shall be booking again for a longer stay in order to take advantage of the walks that go directly from the site.|Our pitch was on a gentle slope but that was easily remedied. The facilities are a little dated but scrupulously clean and serviceable. We visited out of school holidays so the site was quiet and peaceful.

This campsite is set in a beautiful valley.
Site is a proper camping site, nothing fancy, facilities are spotless in an old outbuilding
Site owners are brilliant. I would definitely go back

Beautiful campsite! What incredible scenery. Owners so friendly and welcoming. We did make a mistake in coming during half term and it really was very crammed in, though. They could space the pitches more and give us all some personal space.

What a find this little gem is....
Friendly couple who run / own the campsite, currently aided by there Granddaughter.
The site is very Quiet and Peaceful, with walkers rambling through and onto the Shropshire hills.

Pitches are all grass , very very big with a small brook running down the back of the one side.

Don't expect a New pristine Shower/toilet block....that is not what this place is about...they are built into a very old building, we found them to be perfectly adequate, clean and didn't have to wait to use them at anytime.

Sheep on the hills/walks for us we're a pain !!! (But we knew they were there before we arrived ? ) our Dogs don't chase them, but eat the mess given the chance !!!! ?

All in all, a great place, highly recommend and will be back ?

Second time hear ,first time as a solo hiker was great, but went back this week with my partner on a couple hike. Phoned in and the older lady was a bit moody she also sent the young lady I believe who was her granddaughter up and down the pitch about payment which I think was a bit pricey. Also my partner found her to be a bit nosy which we were tired and it was late and we just wanted to set up our gear because of our long day. Also our pitch was not the best spot and had an uncomfortable night.
Don't know if we'll ever go again it's a maybe for now.

Just back from a lovely weekend at Small Batch. The site itself is absolutely perfect. Two pubs within walking distance, a stream you can hear from your bed and some stunning walks right from your tent. Flat large pitches (we had 16 at the far end) and no problems with sodden ground despite a lot of rain in the run up to our visit. We probably had the most shaded pitch and we still had sun by 10am which dried the ground and made it easy to pack up. ||Facilities were clean - powerful and hot showers and we were met on arrival. It was nice to pay in cash on arrival - like you were trusted to turn up. I liked that. Decent value. £40 a night for a large tent, with electric, 2 adults and 2 kids. ||Only downside for me is that whilst everyone was considerate and well behaved, there were A LOT of signs about behaviour. No ballgames, no fire pits, you can play in the stream but no making dens and daming (and it's not like it would have flooded because they are kids not beavers). Even down to signs reminding you not to use your phone in the toilet. I'm sure the clientele are trustworthy and nice enough not to need a sign to remind them these facilities are shared. Despite it being a lovely site, it just felt a bit.....restricted. ||Would stay again though. ||4* rather than 5 as the facilities were functional but not AMAZING, the signage and the area you washed up was open to the elements i.e. not covered.

Go up
