Had a lovely time visiting my daughter. Campsite is quiet, in a lovely location and the two site managers are friendly and helpful. Worth noting gates are locked until 7am (I didn't realise... sorry guys!). Facilities are spotlessly clean (shower, WCs, laundry, washing up) and the site itself is very well maintained. Would use again (if they have me back).

I loved this site it's the 2nd time I've been and it's location is great. As a ccc member the price is good it could do with larger facilities block for the size of the site but what the is is kept spotless clean by the site team.
Word of warning I use a trailer tent and was informed at check-in that they no longer take these units but since it was booked through the club it was OK but it also means that this will be my last visit to this site.
The site team are amazing and work so hard to make the site as good as it is but the camping caravan club at the moment seems to let these hard working teams down which as a club member is a shame. But the site is still well worth a visit

Thanks for a wonderful three nights at your campsite... I was parked on the hill of the site and very happy...
However, walking over the grass down to the toilet and washing up block will in time destroy the grass...
My suggestion is to lay a path to prevent the grass being damaged...

Lovely green and peaceful site, well layed out, staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. Amenities warm and clean. Dogs welcomed. Kids play area on site, but away from the pitches.
Easy, flat walk to nearby shops and supermarkets (also Next, Pets at Home, B&M) if you need to top up on your essentials (car park easily accommodated our 7.5m mobile home). If we are in the area again we would happily stay again.
I'd recommend a walk to Kendal Castle followed by tea and cake at Farrers Tea & Coffee house (dogs welcome).

If you are staying in a campervan or caravan then this is probably fine but tents are definitely an afterthought. We rang the day before to confirm everything for us and our son and daughter in law, we were told that the pitches had been reseeded but we could be shuffled along but when we arrived it was just mud. Pic of shoes shows mud from going in and out of tent. There were only 2 pitches for electric hook up so no chance of moving anywhere else. We should have been advised the pitches were unusable and a refund given. The 2 stars given is for the cleanliness of the site, shower and toilet block. Would not stay again.

Lovely small site. Great, friendly wardens and immaculate amenities. Dog friendly. 15 minute walk in Kendal via main road.
