Great campground. Was here January 2024 after a snow so the there weren't a lot of campers and the road further up was closed. No problem. We hiked up Rhyolite Canyon from the lovely Visitor Center. Fantastic trails and scenery. We have reserved a site again for Feb 2025

The campground is lovely. Probably much nicer when the creek is running. It was a very windy day so my experience was less than pleasurable. The drive from Tucson to Bonita is not scenic. Plus, there was road work AND the campground’s water supply was being worked on so there were commercial vehicles in and out all day. Not exactly peaceful getaway.

A nice and shady campground. We booked our site online early in advance which was not absolutely necessary because there were only a few campers and most of the sites were not taken. The campground as well as the restrooms were clean, however, the flies were really annoying. We couldn't sit outside, too many flies - at least no mosquitos 🙂

Beautiful little campground in the trees. Hiking looks good. No cell phone service.
Campground and spaces are small, and no rigs with a combined length of more than 29 feet are allowed.
Sadly, that means we can't camp there.

Enjoyed our stay here. Beautifully shaded campground at base of canyon. Gorgeous rock formations and nice scenic drive for vehicles <40’. Suited for smaller RVs & camper vans. Nice trails, heated restroom (only one), potable water available & I saw 2 gray water dump stations. Visitor center within walking distance via the trail near the large group site. Lots of white tail deer and turkeys roaming around. Staff at visitor center were great. Camp host very nice. If you can get in you should visit here.

Beautiful campground. I love the name since my name is Bonita. Very helpful and informative Rangers and Volunteers. Fairly level sites in the trees. Not good for big rigs. Dry camping and clean bathrooms. The scenic drive is amazing. Love the Hoodoos! Hikes are easy too difficult. Lots of deer casually walking around the campground and hiking trails. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Nice campground but a bit tight, even for our 19 ft travel trailer. During our visit the water was out and the bathrooms were closed. Campground is down in a valley and underneath lots of trees, which would probably be nice for summertime but in the winter it makes it cold and dark. We enjoyed our visit to the monument greatly, but if we return, we'll probably camp elsewhere.
