I have been going to Father/Son weekend here for 4 years and have sent my son for the past 3 years. This is a great camp in a beautiful Northwoods setting. My son was unsure of himself and nervous when we started going but as he has matured he is way more secure in himself and getting very gritty. Camp has for sure helped him with both these traits. Is this camp for everyone? No but that would be impossible. Is it most boys yes. With help of Jason and the staff at Menomonie I can for for sure say my son has found the strength to try new things and keep trying things he enjoys but isn't good at yet.

Father/Son camp is a blast and a great way to try out camp. Don't miss it.

This Camp is definitely not for every kid; it’s geared towards super extroverted boys who love sports. It’s probably a great fit if you have a son who has tons of energy and loves lots of noise. They were not equipped to serve and did not seem interested in any kids who don’t fit that mold. They also heavily favored those who were good at sports; there were team tryouts to participate in camp activities and those who didn’t make teams sit and watch. It was not the inclusive and nurturing experience we were looking for in a camp. On the plus side, the boys get a lot of sports instruction.

Camp Menominee is a top-notch camp - it is truly my son's home away from home. Everything at Menominee, from the beautiful lakefront property, to the amazing owner (Jason) and his staff, to the competitive sports with a emphasis on sportsmanship, and more, makes this camp truly unique. My son has spent his past 5 summers at Menominee and plans to be there for many, many more. Some of his very favorite memories are from Menominee and he has formed the greatest friendships which will last many years. Sending our son to Menominee was and is still the greatest gift we can give him!

Both my sons LOVED going to Camp Menominee. It is the perfect camp for kids who enjoy sports but aren't ultra-competitive; they offer tons of activities. The beautiful waterfront is a perfect, north-woods setting. At Menominee, the boys are super spirited and proud of their camp. They learn character building skills that last a lifetime!

I went to Menominee for six years starting in 1977, and now I've sent all three of my son's there. I cannot think of a more amazing place for a young man to experience summers than the friendly confines of Camp Menominee. No computers, no texting, fresh air, fresh water, sports, and friendships that last (literally) a LIFETIME!! All my best memories and friends (I'm 52 this year) are from Camp and now my boys share the same experience.

I spent 12 summers here all the way from Arizona. There is not a better place to send your kid. The leadership and staff is the best there is, the facilities and campgrounds are beautiful, and the programming is nonstop fun. The life lessons your son will learn at Camp Menominee can simply not be taught anywhere else.

The single best parenting decision I have made was sending my son to Menominee. It is truly the most wonderful place for a boy to spend the summer. Mine has gone for 6 years and is already signed up for next summer. It's a magical place.

Attended Menominee for the majority of my childhood as a camper and returned to be a counselor. The staff at Menominee is fantastic and gives the children/young men an opportunity to try many different fun activities in addition to exposure to friendly competition. Add the friendships, plus the amazing north-woods atmosphere, and there is no better place for a boy to spend their summer!
